Forwards:
Sergei Fedorov (Center)

Despite a move to the west coast, Fedorov remains one of the elite centers in the Western Conference...may get more checking attention but will take lots of shots and may average close to 25 minutes of icetime per game and that's what he wants and loves...Projection: 32 goals, 41 assists, 73 points.
Petr Sykora (Right Wing)

Last year marked a trend reversal for Sykora who scored more goals than assists and came on strong in the season's second half...lost both Paul Kariya and Adam Oates but will continue to be surrounded by strong linemates in the form of Fedorov and/or Vaclav Prospal...Projection: 32 goals, 32 assists, 64 points.
Vaclav Prospal (Left Wing)

Prospal enjoyed a brilliant career year last season, finishing in the top 20 in league scoring...despite the breakthrough, he's a prime candidate to underachieve though he will remain a serviceable fantasy forward...Projection: 17 goals, 37 assists, 54 points.
Stanislav Chistov (Left Winger)

One of the NHL's finest rookies last year should only get better with experience and additional icetime...won't see action on the top line and perhaps not even the top powerplay unit so don't expect an unreasonable jump. Projection: 21 goals, 24 assists, 45 points.
Steve Rucchin (Center)

Rucchin is a fine two-way forward who excels at face-offs while providing invaluable leadership...it remains to be seen how much icetime he will get behind Fedorov which coupled with a history of injuries could really hurt his value...Projection: 17 goals, 27 assists, 44 points.
Defenseman:
Sandis Ozolinsh (Defense)

Always considered a defensive liability, Ozolinsh has been one of the league's premier offensive defenseman for the past decade...as long as he gets ample powerplay time, his point totals will remain high thanks to Fedorov and Sykora...Projection: 11 goals, 36 assists, 47 points.
Niclas Havelid (Defense)

Don't be fooled by last year's 33-point performance as Havelid did the bulk of scoring before Ozolinsh arrived...will be extremely hard pressed to even approach last year's totals as long as the current arrangement in Anaheim remains intact...Projection: 6 goals, 16 assists, 22 points.
Goalies
Jean-Sebastien Giguere (Goalie)

Giguere followed up a terrific 2001/2002 season with an even better 2002/2003 year, punctuated by a sensational performance in the playoffs...is the real deal and will consistently challenge for most major goalie categories...Projection: 34 wins, 2.23 GAA, .919 SV%.
Big Year Alert: Stanislav Chistov. Predicted by some to be a future franchise player, he adjusted remarkably well to life in the NHL as a rookie last year and can only go up from here.
Don't draft: Steve Rucchin & Niclas Havelid. Rucchin is stuck behind Sergei Fedorov and Havelid is stuck behind Sandis Ozolinsh. Neither of them were there for a full year last year.
Keep your eye on: Jean-Sebastien Giguere. We already know he's among the top goalies in the entire NHL, Giguere now is locked into a long-term contract which could mean he'll get even better or he'll get lackadasical like Jose Theodore did last year.
Injury risks: Steve Rucchin (moderate).
