Forwards:

Olli Jokinen (Right Wing)
One of the best stories of the year, Jokinen finally realized his potential on his way to shattering his career highs in every offensive category...full of confidence and believes he can make an impact, he'll continue to produce as long as he stays out of Mike Keenan's doghouse. Projection: 34 goals, 32 assists, 66 points.

Kristian Huselius (Center)
Somewhat of an enigma, so much was expected from Huselius but he struggled his way to a lackluster sophomore season and was even benched for a game...has loads of potential and could one day score 80 points, but even at his best Huselius is unlikely to top 60 points this year. Projection: 25 assists, 27 assists, 52 points.

Viktor Kozlov (Center)
Former first rounder enjoyed a career year by more than doubling his previous season's point total...is still not fulfilling his enormous pre-NHL potential but seems like he has found his niche on a young Panthers squad. Projection: 19 goals, 33 assists, 52 points.

Defenseman:

Jay Bouwmeester (Defense)
Didn't get the accolades or fanfare of a Zetterberg, Jackman or Nash, Bouwmeester nonetheless enjoyed a successful rookie season while being in a tougher position than many of his peers...offensive game isn't yet polished to warrant serious fantasy consideration, but it will come in a few years. Projection: 8 goals, 22 assist, 30 points.

Goalies:

Roberto Luongo (Goalie)
One of the brighest young goalies in the NHL, Luongo played sensational hockey last year but due to the team in front of him, his stats didn't show it...hard times are still in his future, but Luongo is only going to get better with more experience. Projection: 25 wins, 2.57 GAA, .919 SV%.

Jani Hurme (Goalie)
Has played sporadically in each of his first four years in the NHL, Hurme failed to reach double digit wins for the first time in three years...isn't fantasy worthy per se, but could get significant action depending on Luongo's play and Keenan's mood. Projection: 6 wins, 2.91 GAA, .908 SV%.

Big Year Alert: Olli Jokinen. Don't make the mistake of thinking that Jokinen's career year was a one-time thing. He was a former third overall pick and has Mike Keenan currently in his corner.

Don't draft: Valeri Bure. Pavel's younger brother has good offensive talent but the problem is that he's never ever healthy. Unless you like that sort of stuff, you're better off ignoring him when drafting your team.

Keep your eye on: Jay Bouwmeester. The big defenseman was as advertised in his rookie season playing near flawless defense on a difficult Panthers' team. Once he gets comfortable with his defense, watch out because his offense will catch up fast.

Injury risks: Valeri Bure (major), Viktor Kozlov (moderate).
